Eduardo “Eddy” Cocina our Founder and President, is a Professional Engineer that has been an Engineering Consultant for over 20 years in South Florida. After graduating Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Structural Engineering in 1998, Eddy returned to Miami to begin his career. His experience ranges from Structural Design, Forensic Investigations, Owner Representative and most recently, Senior Project Manager of a full service consulting engineering firm.
In 2010, EC Consulting Partnership was founded in order to more effectively provide expert engineering and owner’s representative services than the industry standard.
Eddy takes great pride in partnering with clients and team members alike to be directly involved with each project in order to ensure safety, cost effectiveness, quality control & overall success. Pedro Pablo, a University of Miami graduate, and a distinguished Professional Engineer, serves as Vice President for EC Consulting Partnership. With over 40 years in the construction industry, PPC has experience being a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Contract Administrator and Senior Project Manager. As our Vice President, PPC offers an insurmountable level of Expertise and with matched Competence responsibly oversees all projects in order to ensure that each one receives the soundest and most respectable guidance and service.
Christopher Moorefield is a graduate from University of Miami with a Bachelor’s in Civil and Architectural Engineering. Chris serves as an EC Consulting Partnership Vice President. As a licensed Professional Engineer, LEED AP, and ICC Residential Inspector, Chris has been with EC Consulting Partnership since its inception. Chris’s experience includes owner’s representation services, construction litigation support, property condition assessment, construction management support, and construction administration. Currently Chris plays a vital role in the management and therefore overall success of the Waterproofing and Concrete Restoration projects that EC Consulting Partnership has underway. With his knowledgeable, Equanimeous, Confident and professional disposition, Chris helps to facilitate success on all the projects he works on.
Sten Henriksen graduated with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Stavanger Norway and is part of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) as well as the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). He is an educated and accomplished professional with more than 40 years of international experience in the construction industry; 19 years from construction and business development related to the oil and gas industry, 20 years from Corrosion Mitigation in Europe, Middle East, Far East, East Africa, Canada, and the United States; on pipeline primarily, and in buildings and bridges in general. He is passionate as he is Experienced in water Corrosion and acts as a Senior Project Manager that is able to confidently and efficiently collaborate with all parties involved to optimize project completion, safety and efficacy.
Arian Mendoza, a Florida EI, graduated with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Florida International University as an active member of the National Civil Engineering Honor Society.
Arian has been part of EC Consulting Partnership since 2015 and is responsible for conducting construction related investigations and inspections in mid to high rise residential and commercial buildings, as well as serving as a special inspector during construction. He is involved in project development, management, engineering and construction quality assurance in multi-million dollar restoration projects. Arian is Energetic as he is Committed to being a team player in all projects and constantly improving himself by taking corrective actions to provide the most professional service possible to each project he is involved in.
Sebastian Barbosa a Florida E.I., graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and possesses AutoCAD 2D/3D and OSHA 10 certificates. Before graduating from college, he served in the Army National Guard for 8 years, where his leadership and discipline as well as many other skills were developed and enhanced. Sebastian holds well-rounded experience that comes from years of working in the construction field as a Designer, Estimator, Project Coordinator, Project Manager and Project Engineer. Some of Sebastian’s important assets include working in a very gracious, respectful and professional manner with team members and clients, and striving to Efficiently Complete all projects on time and with excellence.
Steven Cano graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. He has over 10 years of experience executing and optimizing client’s drilling projects across the Western U.S. and offshore in Europe. Steven also has experience in collaborating with different stakeholders and developing roadmaps to ensure a project’s success. Steven is a well-rounded engineer who strives for Excellent service as well as Cost-Efficient solutions to fulfill our clients’ needs.
Steven joined the team in 2020 as a Project Engineer involved in the execution of multiple restoration projects throughout the Miami area.
As a raw addition to the profession, Chad Dockery joined EC Consulting Partnership in March of 2020 as the Project Assistant Manager. Chad’s role is to aid the team with project effectiveness and is expanding in AutoCAD drafting. Currently on the path to pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he looks forward to continuing with EC Consulting Partnership as a Project Engineer. He is an innovative critical thinker that progresses from finding solutions that are outside of the box. His goal is to provide Exceptional and Comprehensive facilitation to our clients and staff alike.
Alex J. Martinez joined EC Consulting Partnership in March of 2021 as a Project Assistant after spending 7 years as a Quality Inspector for a largely recognized aerospace company. Being a leader in his field, Alex developed an affinity to execute work duties efficiently with interdepartmental management teams and external clients. Alex’s objective is to utilize his critical thinking abilities and keen attention to detail to Enhance and Contribute support for clients and EC Consulting Partnership.
Glenda Martinez, our Administrative Assistant, graduated from Miami Dade College with a Bachelors in Exceptional Student Education. Glenda joined our team in December 2020 after spending 7 years in the classroom as a middle school social studies teacher. She is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, assisting our staff in project management and helping our clients with any needs that may arise. Her Effervescent and highly Capable nature makes her a great asset in assisting with our goal to deliver excellence on our projects.
Barbra Gabay graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of architecture from the University of Miami and is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects. with over 15 years of working knowledge in a full service Architectural Firm, Barbra provides expertise services ranging from Interior Build Out and Design, Project Management, Design Development, and Construction Documentation. She has developed programming, design, and management skills from working on projects of various types, scales, and complexity. Barbra has been Project Manager to over 20 multi-million dollar residential projects and to over a dozen interior build-out projects including restaurants, night clubs, public schools and commercial facilities within the Miami Dade-County region. In this capacity Barbra is familiar with permitting within the local regulating authorities in the South Florida community. Beyond all else, Barbra is a truly passionate and gifted Expert designer. Anything she is involved in is infused her brilliant Creativity and a professional yet personal touch.
Lina Bergouignan graduated with a Bachelors in Advertising from the University of Florida and has been EC Consulting Partnership’s Office Manager since 2012. Lina is responsible for the overall efficient functioning of EC Consulting Partnership through a range of administrative, financial and managerial tasks. Lina supports the team in staying true to the vision and mission that EC Consulting Partnership was founded on and enjoys imparting its core values in every opportunity that arises throughout the work day. As a former educator and a truly empathic and Empowering Communicator, Lina offers a unique ability to immerse her passion and energy in the support of addressing the complexities and challenges involved in employee, contractor and client relationships.
